Winter 2010 Preview

Chart’s V2 for the winter is out and there looks to be a few interesting things I might want to pick up for the winter as many of my currents will be ending next week except for Railgun and Patissiere (presumably). A small tl;dr of what I’m looking into for this winter…

So-Ra-No-Wo-To
Army girls and music from what’s written there, and I’m not sure what that will entail at this point, but I’m thinking if it’s sort of like Sky Girls or Strike Witches except with music, it might be good for a passive watch series this season.

Baka to Test Shoukanjuu
Hrm, so if I’m getting this straight it is basically a school days anime but with some sort of crazy plot involving warring classes over BEING THE VERY BEST. Sounds interesting, I’d like to see where this goes.

Katanagatari
I had mentioned this one in a previous post and it seems it moved to the right on his V2 chart as a OVA and in the comments someone is saying it will air once a month for 12 episodes, which seems kinda cheap but given the fact that last couple Bakemonogatari episodes have been spanned across months I’m not surprised as it’s the same people. Swords and stuff though, we’ll see how this works.

Omamori Himari
Something about a cat girl with a sword and some demon exorcist stuff or something, either way, might be worth previewing.

Ladies vs. Butlers
I can’t imagine this is going to be any worse than basically fanservice and Hayate the Combat Butler with even less plot. Still, I do like my fanservice and if it delivers, it’s good as watched. I am but a simple man.

I’m not going to mention Chu-Bra at the moment, I’m sure it is going to be something wacky and random that I’ll probably watch and end up trainwrecking through like Kampfer because that is how I roll, but I’m going to omit it from the official lineup for the moment.

The funny thing is, now that I actually somewhat keep up on currently airing shows, it feels like I have to find something to watch each season to justify it, but really I think it ends up just being me needing something to watch on Saturday mornings before work, kinda like cartoons when I was a kid, because I certainly don’t have time during the week really to watch anime.
