Final set of reviews for the season. I overloaded myself this season with shows on top of starting a new job on top of Saimoe, so it’s been a stretch for me to keep tabs on everything. I actually blew through the last half of Love Lab this evening. Try as I might, I always end up with too many shows each season, because I don’t want to miss out on the good stuff. Or something.

Some say the current state of anime leans too far towards the same-old same-old, the moeshit, the fluff, or whatever you like to call it. Perhaps I don’t have rich tastes, but my selection from this season’s pile has so far been pretty good to me, more or less. One new first look, Gin no Saji, which started last week and I’m a week late on, and a handful of currently airing mentions on some of the cream-of-the-crop entries this week.

More new premieres, starting with Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku, and tangentially-related conversations about ahoges, Love Lab, and how Dogakobo wins at restyling Amu Hinamori for the modern age, Kami no mizo Shiru Sekai Megami-Hen, where we GODDESS now, and finally Watamote, because being anti-social is the cool thing.
