Last batch of reviews for the season, minus Gin no Saji, because I still haven’t even started it,, and Saki because I am still lazy. Those will come eventually. For now, we have Seitokai Yakuindomo S2, Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta, Tonari no Seki-kun, and Onee-chan ga Kita. Three of these belong, and one… not so much. I’m sure you can tell who is what.

The one thing that has been dogging me the last few seasons of anime, are the shows that air in three-to-five minute segments. They say quality reigns over quantity, and lord knows that has held true for all but Space Bros in the past year-plus, but these micro shows are simply a taste of something even better, like eating cake with buttercream frosting instead of the store-bought Betty Crocker shit. I should know, I worked in a bakery that made buttercreme cakes. This does not correlate to my ‘MURICAN weight though. My love of all things pizza and goddamn Italian sandwiches probably did that in. Working on that though. I make salads tasty.
Onee-chan ga Kita! is liquid fucking gold this season, and it’s not even necessarily because it’s the best, or the animation is godly, it’s the most simple basics of a good premise, it’s the antithesis of Ore no Imouto, it’s a boy’s older non-blood related sister through re-marriage doing what any respectable older step-sister would do. Motorboat the shit out of him. He thinks it’s awkward. I think he’s attained zen.
We’re going to have to go into the Danger Zone to find out.

I’ve put seventy-five hours into Starbound since a little before this time last month. It’s a little disconcerning, especially since I wanted to finish Bioshock Infinite. BUT THERE IS STILL MORE THINGS TO DIG. Fuck, now I know why I don’t play Minecraft and I quit WoW many years ago.
So anime, right… suffice to say, only a handful of shows are keeping my attention this season. The rest I watch when I remember to, when I am bored, or to make fun of on Twitter (Chu2Koi, looking at you) or the blog. But, everything can’t be Symphogear for me and necessitate refreshing Nyaa every five minutes and downloading RAWs.
Anyway, this week I present a POWER RANKINGS special, fifteen micro-weeklies for everything on my docket this season, ordered from best to worst. It promises to be a mostly terrible affair.

Well we’re three weeks into the new season, and suffice to say, as I somewhat feared, this season is not holding up well compared to others. That isn’t to say everything is terrible and you should just nuke yourself from orbit to be safe, but this less-than-impressive lineup has led me to pick and choose what I actually write about, because I’m not going to just write filler to placate all six of you who read this shit. I have a lot of fucking digging to do in Starbound. So I only have time to stop for QUAL-O-TEE.
If I had milk to spit out, I would. That line was absurd. Quality. Oh man.
